PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL
Currently plays for the Cincinnati Reds minor league organization…After playing rookie ball in 2019 and enduring the gap year of 2020 due to the cancellation of the season, Garrett split time in both Low-A (Daytona) and High-A (Dayton) in 2021.
COLLEGIATE BASEBALL
A graduate of NCAA Division II baseball powerhouse Nova Southeastern University (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), The 6-foot-4 catcher just finished up his senior season with Nova Southeastern University, where he led the team with 12 home runs, 63 hits and 55 RBI for 2019…For his efforts and efficiency behind the plate Garrett was named the NCAA II Baseball Rawlings/Gold Glove Award Winner given to the best catcher in the country…Upon completion of his collegiate career Garrett was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 14th round of the 2019 MLB Amateur Draft (Pick 414) …Garrett was a three year letterman at Dallas Baptist University prior to transferring to NSU where he garnered First Team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors and was also tabbed to the MVC All-Defensive Team…Named to the Johnny Bench Award Watch List as one of the top catchers in college baseball…Played in 57 games, making 54 starts for the Dallas Baptist Patriots…Posted a .289 batting average and hit seven home runs to go along with 27 RBI as a junior…Helped lift DBU to the MVC Tournament title…As a Freshman, played in 32 games, making 22 starts.

In 2018, played 10 games with Cotuit Kettlers of the Cape Cod League…Posted a batting average of .278, with a home run and four RBI…Spent the summer of 2016 with the Bourne Braves in the Cape Cod League and the Sanford River Rats of the Florida League… Played the summer of 2015 for the Eau Claire Express in the Northwoods League…Played for the Altamonte Springs Boom in 2015 and was recognized as the Florida League’s No. 2 prospect by Baseball America.
