Never Stop Learning

No statement rings truer in life than this: never stop learning—no matter how much of a master teacher or expert you consider yourself in anything you do, just keep learning.

It takes real wisdom to realize this truth. When we’re young and inexperienced, we tend to think we have all the answers to every problem, that we have every solution at our fingertips. In reality, wisdom and knowledge come as a slow drip, and you never stop dripping into it.

The Competitor’s Blindspot

The hardest part about seeking knowledge? When you’re a competitor, you look at everything from a competition standpoint. But in reality—and in this specific sector of coaches—the only ones we always need to win for are the players. There’s no substitute for learning other than being in the trenches with a catcher: in a cage, in a bullpen, or on a piece of turf. But we’re growing up in an age where knowledge and wisdom are the most accessible they’ve ever been, with one important caveat: your willingness to take it all in.

A Mentor’s Challenge

I’d like to quote a mentor of mine who challenged me with a simple question: “How do you do it?” In that question, he hid what he was really trying to say: “Hey, go seek more—because you’re leaving a lot of meat on the bone.”

Introducing Catcherfest at Florida Baseball Ranch

This is exactly how we’re facilitating growth at the Florida Baseball Ranch through Catcherfest—a celebration of catching, the best position in baseball. Our number one goal: Present solutions to the problems that catchers and catching coaches are currently facing, with solutions we’ve utilized in the past that have garnered results from youth baseball to Major League All-Stars.

To Parents of Catchers (Youth to High School)

Your son chose the toughest, most important position on the field. As a former Major League catcher, I can tell you that the foundation we build at the youth level determines everything that follows. Catcherfest isn’t just another clinic—it’s where you’ll discover how to support your young catcher’s development with proven methods that work from Little League all the way to the Show. You’ll leave with answers to questions you didn’t even know to ask and practical tools you can implement immediately.

To Catching Coaches (Youth to Professional)

Whether you’re coaching 10-year-olds or professional prospects, you know this position demands constant evolution. The game changes, the athletes change, and we must change with them. Catcherfest is built on one principle: our audience doesn’t get spoken to—they get spoken with. Because in all reality, our audience is us, and we’re in this together to make catchers better.

A Different Kind of Conference

We’re changing the feel of conferences and how they’ve been handled in the past. We’re committed to an interactive experience where you leave with your questions answered and new tools in your belt—not just theory, but solutions that work in the real world. This is catcher to catcher, coach to coach, competitor to competitor.

Welcome to Catcherfest.
