PUT IT DOWN
If you’re lifting something heavy and need to adjust your grip, what should you do first?
Put it down.
You’ve been grinding daily for almost an entire year, but if you want to continue improving, take a break. Burnout is real. Lifting doesn’t build muscles; it tears them down. Muscles rebuild during rest and recovery. The same is true for your mentality. There’s a natural gap between summer tournaments and fall practices. Take advantage of it and let your mind and body rest.
This game gets heavy if you hold onto it too long. Put it down briefly to adjust your grip, or you may drop it on your foot…
